“A nice boutique hotel with great staffs. Location close to old town. Bed is comfortable and breakfast tasty. Two minor issues with my single room. First being no wardrobe. Second the bathing area is too open and water do spill out and wet the floor a bit.”

“cute little hotel perched on a steep hill with great views of the city. Very steep sidewalks and street. Very friendly staff and a nice breakfast. My only negative insight is the the young hotel staff who arrange tours don't have any firsthand knowledge of the tour guides or locations.”

“The Friends Hotel and Rooftop was everything we love about a hotel. The staff were all friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived until the day we departed. Each morning, a delicious, and ever changing, breakfast exceeded our expectations. We took a smaller room on an upper floor that had a view of the Panecillo and the location was convenient for walking throughout the Centro Histórico. Our first choice on any visit to Quito.”

“This is an incredibly charming hotel. Each room is creatively and uniquely decorated. The staff treated us like family, calling us by our first names each time they saw us. Breakfast is wonderful, as is the customer service. There was not a single thing that wasn't first rate. I highly recommend the Hotel La Basílica, and if we ever return to Quito, this will be where we stay. Special shout-out to Media, Josalie and Byron.”

“We had an amazing time in Quito staying at the hotel. Lovely building with interesting furniture and art. Bedroom was comfortable and extremely clean. Lovely bed, excellent views . Shower was hot and hotel provided us with a heater when it got chilly. David the manager and he's partner pierrina are very helpful. We were met at the airport by pierrina, the transfer was easy. Quito itself was wonderful, so much to see and the architecture is devine. It's lovely to walk around the old town . Rosa……

“The location is good and near to the attraction points. The front desk people is nice and very helpful. When we left in early morning to the airport (around 6:00am), they prepared take away breakfast for us even it's just simple fruit, biscuit and drink. We felt very warm and the service is over 5 stars hotel. We recommend to all if you're going to Quito.”

“This is a lovely little hotel with a very welcoming feel and great staff. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the food (breakfast and dinner) in the cosy restaurant was excellent. The decor is designed to celebrate the cultural heritage of Ecuador and the whole layout is very attractive. The availability of complimentary fresh fruit in the sitting room area was a nice touch. Nothing to fault here, highly recommended.”
