“We had a relaxing weekend getaway here! Everything was clean, and the new carpets were plush. The couch was comfortable, and I slept like a log in the bed. Although we didn’t get a chance to use it, there is a lovely porch swing just outside the door where I can imagine unwinding with a good book or having conversation with a loved one. “We were excited for a longer return stay in Lake Lure.The cabin was just as we remembered it from 3 years ago - very comfy with everything we needed for a relaxing mountain area getaway! We loved being close to Ingles, and the Lake House and Canoe Restaurants. We also enjoyed visiting the Tryon Equestrian Center where some of the Chimney Rock Village shops were able to set up temporarily after the damages from Helene. “We met our adult daughters who live in GA and Greensboro with two dogs. The listing did not say that the dogs should not be on the beds - we found that out the day prior. We were able to follow those directions but that had been part of the deciding factor for the property.
