“Absolutely loved this quirky castle. The owners was so friendly and welcoming. Very knowledgeable about the castles history and did a personal tour which I loved. His love for the property showed so much in this tour. Breakfast was delicious and left nothing to ask for. Would stay here again. No complaints. ”

“The room is totally updated and huge. We had to use an oscillating fan to sleep because these old, historic hotels don’t have the infrastructure for air handling and the duvet/no separate top sheet made it warm. Gorgeous room. ”

“Very friendly welcome, excellent staff. Room was lovely with nice and comfortable big bed. Food was lovely. Pastries at breakfast were excellent. Only negative, the extremely fatty bacon at breakfast. ”

“The staff was super helpful and friendly. The apartment was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Not a big deal, but due to local regulations the famous Shower beer fridge was not stocked. Not a problem, we just purchased beers from the brewery next door and brought them to our room. It was super cool that they had proper glassware!”

“I only stayed for one night, but very easy check in, and convenient location close to everything. Room was clean and had everything you need. The hosts were very nice and accommodating. Would stay again. Thanks!! ”

“We stayed here for one night as a stopover on our road trip. The hotel is in a residential area outside of the city centre but suited us perfectly. Parking was free which is a bonus these days. We received a warm welcome and were offered a quiet room at the end of a corridor as requested. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. We ate at the hotel and the food was tasty. All in all a lovely stay. They were busy as it is a popular hotel for weddings, but it did not spoil our stay,”
