“Everything associated with our stay was superior. The cleanliness, the arrangements inside the home, the view, the varied wildlife we saw, the local trips we took, the day cruise to Tangier Island, and most importantly, the personal care that the host took to welcome us to celebrate my 80th birthday. I love taking photos and this is an amazing location for that. The Herons, Bluebirds, Eagles, and even a hummingbird seemed to be posing for a photo. And the stars at night over the Chesapeake……

“We loved our stay at Heron's Hideaway. The house was immaculately clean. The host provided lots of accommodations - plenty of clean towels, shampoo, conditioner and soap, pool towels, etc. Kim was great to work with and responded to all of our communication immediately. The house is a perfect spot to camp out and relax. We visited a couple small beaches within an hour of the house, and Williamsburg but could easily see staying at the house the whole time between the pool, dock, and kayaks. ”

“Location is magical. Water views and nature views abound. Porches, open areas, views galore. On a quiet point, with a creek meets river, almost ocean like feel. It is a very special place. All you need-beds are super comfy and attention to details with seating and kitchen are greatly appreciated. Besides older adults, we had age-early 20s cousins that discovered the fun of croquet. We did puzzles, played games and kayaked a lot; explored the creek and braved the ever changing currents and tides……

“I booked this rental for a week to fish from my kayak because it was a waterfront property with access to the bay. There is a huge ma and pap hunting/fishing store 10 min away that I would recommend to pick up bait and gear. I did catch some keeper size crabs right off the dock as well as a nice sized shad in the coan river area with a minnow.To those looking to spend time on the water this is a great location. There is even a private sandy beach with room to put towels down and relax by the……
