“We loved the house! It is in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood and worked out great for our visit to Lewis University. It appears to be newly remodeled and updated. The kitchen is fully stocked with plenty of supplies for 12 people. The hosts were very accommodating and responsive.”

“Beautiful home with great space. Owners were very helpful and flexible with check in process and other accommodations. ”

“The property was "as advertised" but really the beauty of this space couldn't be captured by the photos. It had modern amenities but felt like you were stepping into the past at the same time. The covered but open porch overlooking the Illinois River was also more stunning than the photos could reflect. We used it as a retreat with a small group of pastors (8 of us) and it was well loved by everyone. Highly recommended! Beware: there's only one bedroom on the main floor and the rest of the……

“This place was perfectly represented! Our three small dogs loved the fenced in yard. Plenty of room and everything you need-just like home. Visited Matthiessen State Park which was only a few minutes away. The host responded within minutes- hope to be back soon!!”

“We had 7 close friends staying together and it worked well. Guest guide was thorough and house well stocked with supplies-even those we expected to provide for ourselves.Large dining table worked for meals if we brought a folding chair in from patio for an extra seat. Only issue was lingering pet dander that impacted our most sensitive guests when hanging out in room with couches. couches.danderwedid”

“Quick trip to Illinois for fall break. My family loved the house. We all had rooms on separate floors and with teenagers they loved it! The area was really nice. Enjoyed some hiking at nearby Starved Rock State Park and Matthiessen State Park. Also drove in to Chicago quick for a Bulls game. ”

“We went to Pirates Cov waterpark. Starve Rock hiking. But when we came back to the house it was like home. We all live in the country in Indiana and love it. Very clean lots of room. The kids had fun deciding what room they were going to sleep in. Thank u so much for our stsy”

“We stayed at this property while visiting family for Thanksgiving. It was midway between both families and in a cute neighborhood close to historic downtown Plainfield. My only complaint about the property is the political propaganda posted on the fences in the front and back yards. If you’re running a business you should realize not all your guests share your political views. Frankly I was offended when I pulled up to the property. The election is over. Take the materials down. ”
