“We are a Senior Couple with a little dog who were headed to Florida. The hotel far exceeded our expectations. The room was newly remodeled, bed was most comfortable ever slept in including pillows. Such a wonderful breakfast with exceptional friendly lady keeping it clean & stocked. The only thing I felt $30 for the little dog was a bit high. He slept in his crate we carry for him & is no shed.”

“We had a late check-in and when we arrived the open sign was off and we called to get someone to let us in the office to check-in. The room then was tiny, and not what we'd requested, but there was a bed, fridge, microwave and coffee pot in there. The floors were not clean but it had snowed the night before. The bathroom was tiny and they never did tell us what time was breakfast. We found out it ended at 9am, and were they kind to let us take a few scraps since there was no coffee except decaf……

“Wr had a wonderful time. The house was so spacious we could spread out and not feel like we were piled on top of each other. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds and baths were clean and comfortable. We were close enough to town to walk to restaurants and shops. This is a quiet neighborhood in a small town, but we spent a day in St. Louis, only an hour or so away. And the eclipse, what a bonus! “Four of us stayed here for the eclipse. The place was perfect for our needs. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were a lot larger than I was expecting. The nearby trains can be a little loud, however the host was prepared with earplugs for sleeping and we all slept well. It is an easy walk to downtown and restaurants. I recommend La Fuente, or Joe's Pizza. My only suggestion would be for more comfortable chairs in the living room.”
