“Hotel is in great location but not easy to find according to our sat nav which took us couple streets down. Parking is right in front. Room was really nice and well equipped. Hotel staff were friendly, nice and helpful when booking activities. I would recommend this place. Good parking right in front.”

“The location in the heart of La Fortuna town is a winner! It’s also in an intimate neighborhood setting. It’s perfectly clean. Very well kept as you’ll see in the photos. Front desk staff always with a smile. Breakfast was made to order and good. Typical Costa Rican and familiar options. Small portion but filling. Ask for more if you wish. Safe area. Walk out to the Main Street day or night.”

“Dinner at the restaurant is fantastic! The Chocolate tour (5 min walk) was a great mid morning tour and very interesting - make and eat your own chocolate! The walk up to La Fortuna was challenging so ask for a ride of you need one. The owner was incredibly helpful and was able to get me a day pass to Baldi Springs for the locals rate :) ”

“We loved the views of the lake and volcano, the food was great, the hiking trails were tons of fun, the dante waterfall was beautiful, and the staff were absolutely amazing! We loved Howard and our beautiful waitress with red hair! Also, don't let the shared bathrooms scare you away from the casona. It was an amazing room with the best view and toucans!”

“Husband and I had a pleasant stay at chachagua. We arrived late at night and was greeted at the front desk with hand towels and fruit juice. Checking in was smooth and we were escorted to our bungalow (make sure to have a high car as you will drive through a low river). Bungalow was private and very clean.
