“The photos online do not do justice for this beautiful home. We had a group of 12 traveling from Chicago for a graduation and there was more than enough room and space. They had lots of toys and games for the adults and the kids. The view was breathtaking of the lake. Highly recommend to anyone wanting lots of space and a relaxing trip. ”

“We booked a long weekend here for my dad’s 70th birthday and couldn’t have asked for a better stay! The home has been nicely updated but still contained plenty of original touches that have it character. The outside space was great! We spent a lot of time on the deck, used the grill and fire pit, and of course the lake! We were very impressed with all of the lake toys the shed offered, especially the kayaks. The inside was set up perfectly for our group and our teenager appreciated her own space……

“This is a remarkable property tucked into the woods just west of Carbondale. Beautifully appointed. Gorgeous screened-in wrap around porch. Amazing bedrooms with en-suite baths. This was a very comfortable weekend retreat for our family. Would definitely book again!”

“This VRBO was new and swaggy! The decorating was impeccable! I wish I had her taste! We came down for a tour of the Shawnee Wine Trail and do some hiking and this house is perfectly located in the center of it all. It is a hop skip and jump from Giant City State Park which has fabulous hiking and really close to Cobden and Makanda both adorable little towns. Blue Sky Winery was our favorite after visiting 4 of the local wineries. We also enjoyed her outdoor living space on the back patio……

“We just wanted a place south of us in Illinois that would allow us to enjoy the lakes and parks around the area. This place offers this and much more.Beautiful fire pit and dock to enjoy the views of the lake and a place to fish off of.(if you have a boat, your own private dock to your house for the night)Plenty of state parks to visit within a hour radius of the area with plenty even closer.House was clean, fresh and ready for use.We only did a weekend trip but you can get lost down here for……
