“Nice B&B with very friendly staff. No on-site dining other than (very good) breakfast but several pubs within a very short stroll - 1 to 2 minutes and Yorkshire coast town Filey just 3 miles drive away. Also a very good distillery with excellent cafe on the edge of the village”

“The owners are very friendly and helpful, and are also very nice people. Everything is spotless. Beds are very comfortable and warm. Breakfast is really excellent. Restaurant meals are also really good. The area is really quiet and peaceful. Plenty of private car parking. Will definitely stay there again. ”

“Just back from South Lodge and want to say thank you very much to Steve & Tony. We arrived early and the rooms were ready, they were spacious, clean, beds were comfy the decor was lovely. Breakfast was delicious, plenty of and not for the fainthearted. Parking at the property spot on as you dont always have that luxory. Well stocked Tea & Coffee in the room and the homemade cookies were very tasty and a chocolate finished off the welcoming. Toiletries were top quality. Nothing was too much……

“Hotel itself is well positioned and you can see it’s been recently modernised and is very clean. However, the advertised parking included was not the case. It’s under renovation and no word of this is given on the booking or the following emails that came to my inbox after confirmation. We had to pay for street parking which had the hotel’s parking garage been full, I would have paid. We were expected to pay even without the advertised garage, which was one of the reasons we chose this……
