“Booked an overnight stay to celebrate my husbands birthday. No acknowledgement was nade of this fact, which was a bit disappointing. For lunch we had the Sunday roast, which was nice but not very hot. Our standard bedroom was small but cute. The bathroom has a small bath and a tiny shower, which my husband struggled to fit into. “A convenient stop off on the way to Whitby. We chose the small double as we arrived late and were leaving straight after breakfast. It was fine for a short stay. Owners very friendly and although the room was above the pub it was very quiet after 10pm. Breakfast was very good. ”

“Hotel location in Malton is great. Car park free and plenty of spaces. Staff welcoming and accommodating. Food was good, albeit had to wait 1.5 hours for Sunday lunch as I believe the dining in the bar area was fully booked, which had a knock on effect in the restaurant....however we were in no rush and had a lovely afternoon there.”

“Overall good. Beautiful room and hotel. Room very hot though and unfortunately the hotel staff couldn't fix the problem. It was 24 degrees permanently. We had to leave the wondow open and the duvet off. Beautiful food in the restaurant in the evening. Breakfast ok, nothing special. ”

“We only stayed one night but would definitely come again! The lady in reception was absolutely lovely - very welcoming - in fact - all the staff were great and we felt very relaxed and ‘at home’! The hotel was pretty and our room was really large with a huge bed and lovely views over the countryside. “We stayed with our young son for 3 nights in July 2024. The staff were absolutely lovely, so welcoming and helpful with everything we needed and great with interacting with our young son. The food - breakfast and dinner - is truly incredible with nothing too much trouble. The only downside we experienced really was that we were in a room on the top floor which, while the room had clearly been hoovered etc, it was dusty in places with lots of cobwebs - while we don't mind spiders, we removed……
