“My husband and I stayed in this condo for 9 days and enjoyed every minute. First of all, Salt Water Vacations staff were wonderful. We had a local liaison introduce herself and was present for any concerns we might have had. They bent over backwards to make our stay comfortable. The condo was very comfortable and inviting. The bed in the main bedroom was so comfortable. Kitchen well stocked. We met many wonderful people there at Mauna Loa Shores. Big shout out to Mr. Gomez, the building……

“We absolutely loved the property - it was a peaceful, tropical retreat. The guest house was super clean and very well provisioned and the grounds were beautifully landscaped. There were pineapples, papayas, plumeria, orchids and so much more. It was so relaxing to sit on the lanai in the evening with a cool drink and listen to the sounds of the tree frogs and the burbling of the koi pond.”

“We recently stayed in Mauna Loa Shores for 4 nights. The condo was clean and nicely furnished with basic kitchen amenities. Our unit also provided beach chairs, beach towels, boogie boards, and a selection of snorkel equipment. The location is excellent as it is situated right next to Carlsmith Beach Park. It has a beautiful balcony view of the beach park and nature area directly behind the condos. In addition, there is a very good restaurant, The Seaside Restaurant, within a short walk.……

“The Grand Historic Hili House was absolutely beautiful. The waterfalls in the backyard were stunning. I would love to stat there again someday.”

“The grounds were amazing. We were allowed to pick our own fruits like papaya, sapote, banana, mountain apple, avocado, cacao, etc. The property was clean and cozy, and the outdoor shower was very nice. Only downside was a couple of loud coqui frogs at night, and it was a bit of a drive to Hilo.”

“This place was beautiful and clean, the sunset scene right outside of the circular living room was amazing and the lava land on the backyard and the ocean view was to dir for. Host was super nice and responded quickly . ”

“Stayed for a few days. House and property was nice. Enjoyed seeing the goats outside our window. Weather was nice and cool except for the last day. Wish there was AC for the warm humid night. No paved driveway.”

“Place was amazing, it was quite, except for the frogs at night, but they didn't bother me at all. There is no AC , but with the fans on and windows open it was fine. Love the lanai, I was able to just sit out there for breakfasts and dinner and enjoy the ocean view, the breeze, and the chickens. The only thing is I wish there were more hooks in the bathroom and a night stand in the bedroom with the twin beds. I had no where to put my things and I usually have a cup of water near me at night.
