“Was an amazing location and places. Made me feel connect with the outside. Very quiet in terms of human activity(traffic,neighborhood). Enjoyed the sound of the birds around the property. Close to the national park if you wanting to do some hiking or catch an eruption. ”

“A luxurious camping experience with running hot water, electricity, and use of a washer/dryer. Not many places to eat around and the closest "grocery store" is very expensive (12 for a gallon of milk). Make sure you plan ahead and bring mosquito repellent!! ”

“Truly a delightful experience. I was having work done on my home, so we stayed here for two weeks of fun! It was tranquil, clean, comfortable. A nice bathtub with plenty of toiletries. You may not see it in the pics, but they provide all the kitchen appliances/flatware you might need. Lots of lush greenery right up against the lava rock fields right up against the ocean. Plenty to explore. The WiFi was awesome. We were able to run both our VR headsets at the same time, I was able to work……

“This is a beautiful place and quite clean. They also have a cache of masks, snorkel, chairs and other beach items which is helpful. We used this cottage as base camp to visit Volcanoes NP. It is a good option if you have a rental car. They don't call it the "Big Island" for nothing. There is a lot of windshield time when traveling the area. My only constructive criticism of this property, as well as almost all other VRBOs, is to reduce the unnecessary furniture, bookshelves, and tchotchkes that……

“I had the privilege of staying at this property for one month. I will miss it! Especially the sound of the ocean which can be heard from this cute cottage. The bed is comfortable and I slept so great here. Also, it's QUIET! If you want peace, you found it. The shower is hot with strong water pressure. The mini fridge (with small freezer) met my needs perfectly. The host is so kind and made sure I felt comfortable asking for anything I needed. Checking in was a breeze. I parked and was able to……

“Though this property intentionally lacked amenities that large, resort like properties provide, it hit the mark in what was promised: a quiet, intimate experience that is close to nature and the nighttime sky! Though secluded, the location is close enough to Pahoa to make dining and a trip to the store to resupply convenient.The grounds are beautifully manicured and at night the stars are vivid and accompanied by a chorus of Coqui frogs! “We enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage that had everything we needed (including beach chairs, umbrella and cooler!). The owner was super helpful and kind in making sure everything was perfect for us. We love staying south of Hilo where we have more access to the Paradise Cliffs and morning dawn hikes along this magnificent coastline. Groceries, stores, restaurants, markets are all easily available, too. It's also an easy drive into Hilo, as well. We had a wonderful time!”
