“Our stay at this hotel was amazing and we could not rate everything highly enough. The check-in process was smooth and we were shown our room by a member of staff. The room was a very good size and had everything we needed. The bed was extremely comfy, but the room did get a bit stuffy. The hotel provided a fan and the window opened for fresh air. The selection of tea, coffee, biscuits and milk was replenished daily. The breakfast was excellent and the staff are a credit to the hotel.……

“Enjoyed our stay at Penmere. The staff were very friendly and helpful - shout out for Jamie! Spacious, comfortable room, powerful shower, clean. Good choice on breakfast buffet that was continuously replenished. Food ordered from breakfast menu was slow to come out. Would certainly stay again.”

“I know it’s very easy to criticise a stay but we have stayed in most of the harbour hotels and this one lacks the sparkle we normally expect. Service was very slow and tables left uncleared for lengthy periods. Not blaming the good staff but they were sparse and under pressure. There were stains on the bed base and carpets and shower hard to use and this was in one the the most expensive rooms. We ordered room service one item didn’t turn up and the other was not what we ordered so again not……

“This was our first experience staying in a self catering accommodation and it won’t be the last. We had everything needed to live comfortably. The view was amazing too. Jan came in to welcome us so gracefully on our first night and made us feel really welcome. The house was beautifully decorated and cozy, made us feel like we were home. “The property was very well maintained clean and comfortable. Parking was just up the road where there was plenty of room at the side of the road. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The POD was great for a couple of nights but wouldn't have been suitable for a longer stay due to its size. The POD is in the owners garden. It was a 20 minute walk from St. Ives Harbour but there was a bus stop a short walk away.”
