“This was our second visit to Walden and, as with the first time, it did not disappoint. We were there for 3 nights and had the property all to ourselves. It was very relaxing watching the river flow by slowly and the dogs had a blast playing in the field. Deer were everywhere in the morning and at dusk. We will be back again for sure.”

“I could have sat on the porch our whole boss and watches the river and the mountain. I heard or saw 56 species of birds. Ther are wonderful fireplaces I side and out. The cabin's interior is clean, modern, and nicely furnished. 2e couldn't have hoped for more!”

“The cabin is wonderful and the grounds are amazing. Unlike other spots along this road, we had cell service. Everything is there that you would need. Bring a couple more rolls of TP and paper towels. The screened in porch is the perfect place to eat, watch the river, play games. Beds are comfortable with extra blankets if needed. Convenient to Skyline Drive, Luray, the caverns, and hikes.”

“The house was clean and everything was as described/pictured. The driveway is steep and a little scary which I had read in other reviews and nothing an SUV can't handle. Great stay!”

“Great family getaway. Cute and fun, i would just say it was lacking on providing full amenties and cleaniness. For example there was a brochure of listed items provided in cabin and their charges, we didnt have a couple of listed items such as the smores kit. Our unit was equipped with full items to cook with such as oil packets but the unit next to ours (used by same group) had oil and others things we did not. Just inconsistent with products available. With this in consideration i would rate……

“My husband and I (and our pups) spent an amazing week in the cabin during the fall. The cabin itself is very clean, well appointed, and modern. It is obvious that the hosts carefully thought through what guests would expect from such a nice property. The has a large deck with an amazing view to the valley below. The location is serene, although it is a bit of an adventure to get there. A 4x4 is definitely advised. Our hostess, Michelle, was very kind and accommodating and extremely……
