“We came for a meteor shower, to find a cloudy sky. But the cozy home, clean air, and quiet made up for it in spades.I was honestly surprised when we checked in, the photos provided made the home seem much older than it is. Instead, we found a house that looked almost like it'd never been lived in. It was clean and well-kept. The kitchen was fully stocked and everything we used worked well.My only real complaint was that previous renters did not clean the kitchenware as well as they should……

“Very relaxing, loved the mountain views. Host was Very responsive. Would Definitely go back. Would suggest lighting up the front door better as we arrived at night and it was dark to see checking in. Back porch lights were mostly dim and some not working. Host is very responsive im sure it would be handled. Back glass doors were dirty with smudge marks and dog drool. Cob webs in some areas of the ceiling. ”

“This was our second visit to Walden and, as with the first time, it did not disappoint. We were there for 3 nights and had the property all to ourselves. It was very relaxing watching the river flow by slowly and the dogs had a blast playing in the field. Deer were everywhere in the morning and at dusk. We will be back again for sure.”

“Great family getaway. Cute and fun, i would just say it was lacking on providing full amenties and cleaniness. For example there was a brochure of listed items provided in cabin and their charges, we didnt have a couple of listed items such as the smores kit. Our unit was equipped with full items to cook with such as oil packets but the unit next to ours (used by same group) had oil and others things we did not. Just inconsistent with products available. “Lovely place. Our 5 year old declared the cabin “so cozy!” and had an absolute blast. The hosts take great care of their guests; lots of thoughtful touches throughout and a fridge full of bottled water. Sereda is very responsive if you have any questions. The location is perfect, halfway up a hill so you're looking out into trees - an excellent set up for bird watching from the covered porch. The cabin has binoculars and a birding guide. You're only about 20 minutes from a Walmart if you forget……

“Our place was way larger than expected! Very clean and fully stocked. Excellent prices. Their pool is amazing. Heated, salt water with the hot tub right next to it which made it easy to watch the kids swim. All staff was extremely friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the pool and activities close very early. Both nights it closed at 5. I would definitely stay here again. Luray caverns was a hit. ”
