“Although the original check-in process was fine, the host became unresponsive to our questions during the stay. We were able to figure out the answers to our questions, but it would have been nice to hear anything at all. We went so far as to text the host because we became concerned after radio silence for 3 days. Once she did respond she didn't apologize for not getting back to us and ghosting us for days. ”

“House is straightforward, great location, quiet neighborhood, excellent communication with host. All we needed for 3x guys on a golf trip. Thank you!”

“House 1 flight down from street level. Outdoor deck is a flight of stairs down (wary if you have little kids)Kayaks another 4 more flights down. didnt use them, but looked fun. Jetty quite high to launch kayaks.House was clean, uncluttered and modernly furnished. Communication was excellent, and owner let us stay extra 1.5 hrs.”

“This property was the perfect stay. Very clean, relaxing and comfortable with all the amenities. Beautiful view of the lake from the comfy back porch. Quiet and relaxing. Property owners were so nice. Highly recommend. ”

“We found the cottage to be very clean and uncluttered. It was very comfortable for the 2 of us. Though we ate only breakfast in there were ample supplies and cooking materials if you wanted to eat in. We were very comfortable there and would recommend it.”

“It was a perfect house and town for me and my 8 friends to stay. We all had room, were able to work remotely on Friday and we had perfect weather. My only note is that we had planned on using the grill one of the nights but only realized when we got there that it was not set up. We also had wanted to us the canoe but could not seem to find the oars. All in all it was an incredible weekend at a beautiful home and we will DEFINITLEY be back!”

Charlie, the owner, met us in person to give us the key and show us around for an extensive tour so that almost every kitchen appliance and dish was made known to us, (except the electric kettle, which was hiding in a cupboard and worked well!) There is no dishwasher, but we didn't mind washing the dishes we used, and there were also disposable ones. The refrigerator was well-stocked with beverages of all kinds and other groceries, and there were multiple cupboards filled……

“Fishing/Lake: There is absolutely no access to the lake, including the community beach. No swimming. No fishing. Such details must be in the property's details in caps. Fishing or swimming is not allowed. Water: Smelly brown water in the house. You can’t drink it or cook with it or even take a shower. It is disguising. No heads-up about the water issue. Kitchen: The smell of dirty dishes welcomed us. It looks like the previous renters left them there. Only 4 forks and 1 knife in the house.……

“Everything you could possibly want or need for our stay was provided . Snacks, sparkling water, doggy treats were a very nice touch . Very clean and beautifully updated . The deck was lovely to sit on and drink your coffee . There will be some rush hour road noise but when it’s quiet you can hear the babbling brook and birds . Very easy walk to the lake and marina . Beds were comfortable Thank you for a pleasant stay . ”

“Check in was super easy. The host messaged me the code for the door lock on our day of check in and no issues. The room is above a steakhouse in an older, Victorian style home. The room has everything you need. A bed, a smart tv, a toilet and a shower. The room was clean when we arrived and the shower had different shampoos and soaps in it. The house is approximately 1 mile from the downtown shops and bars/restaurants. A lot of the shops close early but the bars are open pretty late. There’s a……

“We stayed to attend West Point graduation and although it wasn’t close to West Point, it was a reasonable drive and the view was great and the towns it is in and around were great and the food was good the places we ate. House was great and very comfortable. Would stay again. ”

Our party could not get over this “dream home” from arrival to departure, with as much beauty to take in inside the homes as there was down by the lake. Both the lodge and cabin were easily accessible, and there were plenty of comfortable beds available to choose from. I could go on for days in this review, but I’d rather leave it at this: it’s the perfect vrbo. Book it. Revel in it. Then tell all your friends! ”

"We came down to check out at 10:30 in the morning. I paid a cash deposit. They can't check out until they check the room. The front desk told me 5 minutes but made me wait for almost half an hour. Halfway through, I asked her how long it would take because I had to go to a meeting urgently. She gave me a very nonchalant attitude. It was already 11:10 when I got the deposit. What made me very unhappy was that I was the only one who wanted to check out. Do you want me to wait for half an hour in the morning?"
