“The property is uniquely situated directly on the beach while also being in the middle of nice area of Tamarindo. Maybe opinions on Tamarindo itself can vary depending on your preferences but if you're in Tamarindo, it is a great place to stay.”

“We loved the privacy and seclusion of the property. The front desk and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant menu was fine for about 2 nights, but if one stayed longer, it was limited. Some of the lounge chairs were looking a bit worn. We would have liked the pool to be accessible for evening swimming. The pool area was completely dark by 7 pm. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Sugar Beach Hotel.”

“It was so much fun to see cows on the beach! The room we booked was huge and comfortable. My kids really enjoyed the bunk beds and the privacy curtains. The kitchen and living space was nicely equipped. All the nature around the hotel and the set up of the hotel is relaxing and lovely. We did encountered a plumbing issue during our stay that caused our unit to not have water for several hours for two days. The staff were helpful regarding this and accommodate us to shower in a different room.……
