The hot tub was perfect for after hiking all day. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable , beautiful home with all the bells and whistles.”

“I spent a week to celebrate my 70th birthday with my adult children, and grandchildren. The house was nicely decorated yet cozy. Layout was great for all we wanted to do. The kitchen is well appointed and we mostly cooked in. Hot tub was a big hit... especially after hiking in the Shenandoah Park. Unit was clean. The littles enjoyed a nearby indoor water park. AC works well, but getting the upstairs cool enough made the downstairs family room and bedroom uncomfortably cold. ”

“Two families stayed (10 total)! The house was perfect for all of us to have our own space and space to come together! We loved sitting at the large table playing games and working on puzzles. Also loved gaming/pool downstairs and playing basketball with some neighbors. We spent a lot of time in the hot tub and even got to enjoy a thunderstorm one night. Weather was perfect, so we did a lot of exploring. Went to the Waterpark (recommend getting there about an hour before it opens to get in line……

“The host was incredibly responsive and helpful. The home was very clean and the pictures and description of the home were accurate. The home was also well stocked with kitchen items and essentials. We had a wonderful stay with extended family. Only thing that made me nervous is the bunk room had glass sliding doors out to a second story balcony with railings wide enough my 3 year old could easily fit through. The doors lock but the kids quickly figured out how to unlock them. Other than that……

“The house suited our needs to celebrate with family time for an 80th birthday. We enjoyed the screened in porch and sitting on the deck around the fire pit. The beds were comfortable and the owner was very gracious. It was a good time for everyone. ”

“We are all over 70 and love quilting. It was good to catch up with family and show off the quilts we’ve made. We had a Quilts Of Valor presentation to our cousin who served in the army. Such a great event. We really liked the house because there was just a step or two to get inside. It’s a great place to stay. ”

“Pros: Host provided fresh strawberries and vegetables (in season from his garden). Fast food and shopping nearby. Not far from the mountains (Shenandoah National Park). Not far from Charlottesville (University of Virginia). A couple of hours from Washington. 1 mile walking path around the property. Cons: Active train track crosses the driveway- source of noise a couple of times per day. Mixed: Highway nearby. Provides easy travel, but also near constant source of traffic noise. I was……
