“Room was adequate, clean, no frills. But the common area in a remodeled barn is a fantastic place to enjoy a meal, a drink, or play a card game, read or spend time relaxing and chatting. Large windows frame an unbeatable view of the mountain valley with a picturesque river running through. A great get away!”

“We are two couples traveling together in Iceland on the Ring Road. We absolutely loved this hotel. One of us was reminded of the old hotels in England he stayed in. The room was comfortable and clean. We loved the spa on the patio and we ate at the restaurant in the hotel and had a great meal. They even had a vegan option (one of us is vegan) made with vegetables from Icelandic greenhouses. The beds were comfortable and it was a quiet area. Staff were very friendly. Highly recommend.”

“Staff are generally nice and friendly, there is a bar downstairs which serves good food, many locals came for dinner so is quite vibrant if you would like to mingle with people from different counties. However the room does not include duvet which means you either have to rent one (1100 isk) or bring your own sleeping bag. You will have to bring your luggage upstairs too.”
