“Staying at The Old Talbott Tavern is a special treat. The building is very historic, especially the dining room in the 1799 part of the building with the ancient timbers and two gorgeous stone fire places. We split an order of the beef stew. The rooms are very nice, big, and quite comfortable. We stayed in a room in the newer section (only about 100 years old) with windows looking out on the main street and town square. In addition to the nice restaurant, they have the obligatory gift……

“The romantic cottage was just what we needed. Only thing we could possibly say we didn’t like was the entrance to the property off of the road. It was pretty tight, but thankfully it’s not too busy and we never had any issues with people coming or going at the same time that we were.”
