“Let me preface by saying if you are looking for a shiny modern hotel, this is not the place for you. What it is, is a charming old school motor hotel where you can park right at your room. Employees were very frienfly, the check in area was nice, easy access from the freeway, comfortable beds, and the highlight for me was the massive park-like tropical grounds with massive old growth trees, adirondack chairs, hammocks, and a good size pool and hot tub. All rooms are ground floor, and the setting……

“The room was clean and comfortable! The staff were all friendly and it was great not to hear any noise during quiet hours (I switched to this hotel bc of this problem at a different hotel i was at the night before). ”

“This Hampton Inn is located inside a former factory, which explains its quirks. Some displays of machinery from factory days are around. On a map, it looks like downtown Petaluma is an easy stroll, but it's not. You have to walk through some uninviting areas with no lighting at night. Not many dining options within walking distance and the hotel doesn't offer evening dining. It's a nice hotel, but you'll still want to drive into downtown. ”

“Great hotel in the best location in San Rafael and too go along with that you get excellent service. You won’t be disappointed if you choose this hotel. ”

“New building... what's not to like! But they could have provided a courtesy breakfast.”

“We have stayed at Hotel Petaluma before. We enjoy the proximity to downtown. The people working there are amazing. The rooms are only ok. This time the bathroom while quite large, was showing lots of wear. Rust in the sink and shower. It’s also odd that there are no pictures on the walls. The room was very bland. ”

“The property was quiet and beautiful and the room we stayed in was clean and handy, with a patio on the first floor that led out to the quiet and inviting swimming pool. Shout out to the staff who were there to assist at all times. ”

“My son is student at nearby Famous college. We have visited on several occasions. Anita the property's manager always made us feel at home.”
