“We really enjoyed a 2-night stay at the Melrose. It was conveniently located to walk to the city center for us, but could be far for others. It’s close to Anne Frank house and a ton of restaurants/cafes. It was clean, fairly basic but just what we needed. Lobby area and staff were nice. Only complaint is the shower water gets everywhere because there is only a tiny glass panel, even with the shower pointing towards the wall. “The price was nice compare to other hotels and the place was new and in good shape, but need to aware that the space was tight and the bed was a little bit tall that it would be a little challenging for elderly and kids, the washroom is quite see through. “Location is not too bad, it takes around 15 minutes walk to the free ferry. Hotel looks new, however, house keeping is only so so, found carpet inside room is not thoroughly vacuum cleaned. Some reception staffs are helpful, but some staffs are not that efficient, need to wait some times for checking in even though there are not many customers in the line.”

“We stayed there for six nights. The room is reasonably clean and most things worked. However, the room was not cleaned after the first night. There was no button panel at the room where we could ask to clean the room. It was ok for two days. Then the rubbish bin became full and the floor a bit dusty.
