“When we first walked into the cabin, we fell in love with it! It's very charming and homey. Tammy's binder has all the information we need and help us explore Julian. It also tells us that her grandfather built this cabin original and made our stay even more special because she shares all the memories from her family including a rotary phone that my wife and I had to use growing up :) Charlie”

“Loved staying at this little house. The view is amazing and it’s close to downtown Julian. Kitchen is very well equipped. Woodpeckers will tap on the windows in the morning which is no big deal. Didn’t love dealing with the very steep driveway but that was our only complaint. Would stay here again.”

“We greatly enjoyed the little house, it was exactly what we were looking for! Everything we could need! Be sure to follow the owners directions to the house, not gps, they are different so trust hers. I was nervous arriving after dark, and if the roads were wet or icy it may have been difficult. But it was a dry lovely weekend. Stay here!”

“Martin’s cabin, the Lilac, was perfect for our weekend away. It was easy to get to and check in was simple. Make sure to read all of the information provided before arrival since there is no cell signal. This cabin was cozy, rustic, and a hidden gem on Palomar Mt. Upon arrivals the cabin was clean and very chilly. After about 30 min with the gas fireplace turned on we were very comfortable in our t shirts. “We booked this location especially because it was dog friendly. We absolutely loved it and it exceeded our expectations. Paul was great and called the day we got there to make sure we didn’t have any questions and to let us know specifics. Such a quiet and relaxing area, the cabin is also very fun with all the little details. It was a pretty hot weekend, and the beds still had the winter flannel sheets, but other than that it was perfect.”

“The Buena Creek Refuge is indeed a beautiful refuge. We felt relaxed the moment we popped out of the cars. Nine of us spent 6 nights celebrating our 50th anniversary and visiting the area attractions. It was wonderful to have the Refuge to come home to rather than some hotel. The 2 grandkids loved the pool and climbing to the gazebo almost as much as Legoland. Great kitchen, indoor and outdoor dining areas and did I mention 5 king beds!
