“When we arrived for check-in we were greeted with a notice at the front desk with a memo that states they do NOT rent rooms to locals. I am appreciative that I was allowed to continue with my reservation because the general manager wanted all rooms to be filled. “First when I checked in, there still guests inside for the room gave to me Then I had to go back to asked another room. “There for an event at UVA, so location was convenient. Inn has separate buildings located around a cul-de-sac right off busy main thoroughfare. A local resident told us the Inn was originally UVA student housing which explains the “dorm-like “ feel of the room and sitting area. The renovated bathroom was well-done with a European vibe. Highlight was the Oakhurst Inn Cafe with amazing breakfast menu, easily walkable to separate building. Parking was “valet only” as location was in a busy area……
