“The staff at Hotel Capitán Suizo was beyond outstanding. The care they impart on their guests, the grounds and their hotel is excellent. The grounds are breathtaking and as a small boutique hotel, it is a quiet refuge located at the very end of the busy Tamarindo strip. “Very cute property. The three of us liked our two bedrooms (queen, king, and bunk beds) with small kitchenette. The property has a security gate so we felt quite secure (most all the properties seem to have this - it seems to be a Costa Rica thing). The units are spread among several small buildings that ascend a hillside so there is an inclined path (and a few stairs) leading to most of them. Its very beautiful with much shade due to the many mature trees and bushes. Lots of flowers. The……

“The owner, chef, and ladies made our stay here for my birthday quite special, with champagne, towel art- absolutely amazing!! The monkeys that live here- 2 families- are a hoot! Now I will say they are loud, lots of banging at night, dropping things on the roof. You get used to it, but if you are light sleeper like myself, highly recommend using earplugs and a sleep mask. I would wake up, and think, oh that’s a monkey, and g back to sleep. Elmer the chef made us dinner twice, all delicious food!……

“We had a wonderful stay. There was an issue with an air-conditioning unit which was fixed quickly and efficiently. The villa's private pools were lovely. The hotel pool kept us entertained with the monkeys in the trees above our heads. Great buffet breakfast included which set us up for the day. ”
