“Hung up in unbelievable traffic in Santa Cruz, I was not able to check into the hotel until 7 AM the next day when they reopened. So I don't have the overnight experience one expects. That said, the room was very clean, the shower had good hot water, and I did get a morning nap on the bed. Fort7nately, it is off the road a bit. But noise carries and young Costa Ricans love their motorcycles. So if you are super noise sensitive that might bother you, but the traffic is really light on that……

“Excellent place! We were absolutely delighted to find this safe, well-appointed, beautifully-decorated room after a long days’ drive. Self check-in, after hours, was easy, and we found the lovely grounds and pool to be an oasis. We made our own simple dinner and had everything we needed to prepare it. “We were only passing through for a night but this place was amazing! Vincent was super helpful with restaurant suggestions and there were a few great places within a 5 minute walking distance. “This place was amazing from the second we arrived. Staff person checking us in was polite, accommodating and made you feel like you were best friends. Because it’s a smaller hotel, we got to know all of the staff and they couldn’t have been nicer people! On site parking was easy. Location was quiet except for some road noise. Walking to Playa Samara beach was convenient and took less than 10 minutes down a dirt road. Room was large with a separate foyer area that had a sink and mini fridge. Pool……

“This is a very small hotel on beautiful grounds with the ocean a couple minutes walk away. The staff is incredible and everyone knows you after a few days! Peaceful and relaxing. A car would have been helpful to get around. Food was very good and inexpensive. Absolutely delightful!”
