“When we arrived we saw immediately that the sofabed in the lounge was broken and could not be used to sit or sleep on, this was disappointing as it meant there were not enough beds for us all. “Our stay at Burnhopeside Hall was one of our most memorable ever. Christine, our hostess, was delightful and helpful. The room was spacious and the surroundings could not have been more grand. This is a stately old home, full of beautiful furniture and dishes, near sheep pastures and the river.
