“We chose to stay at the Toe River Retreat based upon the views and outdoor space, beautiful interior and cool garage rec space...and it did not dissapoint! When we arrived the interior was every bit as welcoming as it looked in the pictures, and it was very clean and the furniture was very comfortable. However, we really did not stay inside much because the outdoor space was awesome and the views were amazing and ever changing. It was the first place I went when I woke up and after each days……

“The highlight of this home is the sunroom and its view of the valley. The Perch is clean and comfortable. It's also convenient to the Blue Ridge Parkway. My spouse and I spent most of our days driving along the Parkway and hiking on trails. We also drove down to hike Table Rock. The Perch is a great place to stay for mountain adventures!”

“What an absolutely charming home!!! With the additional hot tub and separate sauna, it feels like you're at the spa. We needed to getaway to decompress and boy, did we! The mountain views were spectacular. Owner was very communicative, and check in/out super easy! Property is private, yet only only 3 miles into downtown Banner Elk. Would definitely stay here again. ”

“The oven was replaced with a new induction type and there were no pits to use at the house. It only used a certain type of pot and there aren’t any there. ”

“This house was amazing. We spent Christmas here as a family, and loved everything. The house was so well stocked (probably the best we have ever stayed in). The views are breathtaking the surround sound system was great for Christmas music. The steps down to the lake are intense BUT the host describes them well. This house was exactly what we wanted and soooo much more… Great place book toda.”
