“This is a great cottage! The decor is perfectly designed. The beds are comfortable. The location is quiet. We even heard an owl outside one night. The closest restaurant or grocery store is about 20 min away, but a beautiful drive. I did reach out to the host during our stay and never heard back so that is my only complaint. We had a lovely time and would definitely stay again. ”

“The house was spotless and well stocked for all the needs. The owners were very responsive and accommodating. Would recommend to friends. ”

“We got this house because it was the only thing we could find that was affordable in Durham for a family my size. It had a terrible mildew/sulfur smell that hit you as soon as you walked in the door. There were paper towels to wipe your hands in the bathroom but no trash cans. We really were unsure if the sheets were clean. There were stains all over the walls that looked liked body fluid. My mom feel down the stairs because they were unsteady and deep. We’d brought dessert home but there were 0……

“The house is very spacious and has a nice layout for entertaining. We really enjoyed the outdoor fireplace and hot tub! Our only disappointment was the furniture in the sunroom was uncomfortable and run down. Overall, we had a wonderful stay! ”

“Great place to house 8 to 10 guests. Large kitchen/dining area was awesome to visit and play games! We had one warm evening to enjoy the patio. Just make sure to pick up extra toilet paper!”

“I had never done a VRBO before and this was a fantastic first experience. The photos and description are spot on. Everything in the home is labeled and set up for low stress. The owner was kind and responsive. I was the only adult with 5 tall teen boys and they slept comfortably and they loved the chess board and seating area. The coffee bars, popcorn maker, and games were such fun touches.We were very close to Duke and downtown Durham. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again and already……

“A primary reason we chose this house is the proximity to downtown. We were able to walk to the Durham Performing Arts Center for a show we were attending, and there were restaurants and bars to choose from along the way.The listing advertises that this house sleeps 11, but we wouldn't recommend with such a large group. There were seven of us, and the sleeping arrangements were tight. If I had the power to make changes, I would cover the glass of the glass door bedroom with faux etched glass……
