“I'd like to say I really enjoyed the stay. Overall, I was pleased.The rooms were clean and well maintained. And the location is near downtown which was nice.We didn't hear anything from our host during our trip.But you are in the basement, and so you will hear foot steps above you, along with the dog running around, and the TV. All are expected in a lodging.My wife did not like as much from the start. I guess I didn't tell her that this was a basement apartment, maybe I didn't read the listing……

“Beautiful views from every east sided room, 5 bedrooms plenty of space for our family of 10 with confortable beds. Kitchen was well appointed for all meals. Nice grocery stores nearby and an easy drive into Poulsbo and over to Bainbridge. Would definitely stay again!”

“I spent a week at this newly renovated property and it exceeded my expectations! Everything was modern and state of the art...From the new kitchen appliances, to the huge TV and audio system, I had everything I needed to be comfortable and relaxed. The bathrooms were great, with rain-style shower heads and plenty of real, fluffy towels. As it was just me staying here, there was an entire second bedroom that went unused. “In spite of alongside I-5, the noise inside the house wasn't bad and we walked in the beautiful neighborhood surrounding the house. One block away from the freeway you no longer hear it. the house easily accommodated two couples staying overnight and family of 8 for Thanksgiving dinner.”

This property gives you an absolute front row view of Useless Bay on Double Bluff that does not disappoint! THINGS TO KNOW IN ADVANCE!!!We loved our stay, but this property, but it may not be the best choice for those with mobility issues! This home is literally perched on Double Bluff which gives you incredible views, but this requires that you climb up 54 stairs from the beach……

“I’ve stayed in many short term rental properties and this was, hands down, one of the very best. The words “cute” and “cozy” best capture the essence, but the Captain’s Quarters is so much more. It’s small, but perfect for up to a couple (comfy queen bed) plus, perhaps, one sleeping on the couch. The host is amazingly kind and responsive to communications. Street parking is very close, easy, and free. The WiFi works well. If I needed to, I could’ve worked on my laptop here. We will,……

“This apartment was a joy to stay at; yes, the furnishings were new and all was very neat and attractive, but better yet was that the kitchen had all necessary items (like measuring cups!), closets had hangers, bedrooms were large enough to move around in. We could just move in and start enjoying our stay. We would definitely stay here again. ”

“Very clean and open lovely home. Plenty of space for myself and friends. The bed in the "master" was surprisingly comfortable which was a pleasant surprise as I have a hard time sleeping anywhere that's not my own bed. It's also ergonomic which was super cool. Bathroom floors also heated and the master toilet has a bidet. Kitchen supplies were what I expected. Plenty of plates and bowls but knives were a tad dull with no sharpener found.
