“Lovely hotel well positioned ”

“We only stayed the one night, and would definitely book here again. The staff were extemely helpful and friendly and the hotel was clean and tidy. Our room could probably do with an update, but it was clean, spacious, and had a great view. Breakfast was very nice with a great choice of hot drinks and huices as well as both a cold selection buffet, and a cooked breakfast option, all included in our booking. Overall we were vey happy with our stay.”

“We wanted quiet, peaceful, beautiful, unique and considerate and that’s what we got. To be woken up by pheasants and lambs, dinner at The Plough, logs being burnt inside and out and amazing views and walks… it was all there.”

We had an early train booked for our checkout day however the hotel arranged a takeaway breakfast which we really appreciated. Room spacious and clean - we’d absolutely return!”

“Flawless. We loved our stay at The Ship Inn and I strongly recommend it for any stay in Rye. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of town. The pub is beautiful and historic and the room itself modern and faultlessly clean. Some little details I really appreciated: tea and coffee and kettle in the room (with oat milk sachets!), a deep bath, tv, desk fan and a very comfy, spacious bed. 10/10”

“Very nice little hotel with very nice and friendly staff. Close walk to the beach. A little hot in the room but to be expected in the summer. There was a fan in the room to cool it down a little. Slept very well. ”

“Everything about our stay could not be faulted. Friendly reception on arrival. Told all we needed to know straight away and made to feel very welcome. Separate restaurants as we had our dogs with us and we were the only ones in ours but still were treated very attentively. Good varied menu with several specials on offer.
