“The hotel has recently been refurbished but still has the ‘old’ side which you can select the room for stay if you are interested in this historic experience. Those rooms will be available for cheaper prices as well. I chose to stay at the ‘newer’ side for my accommodation this time as they are usually more comfortable for a good night sleep. I was correct and the room looks amazing and spacious too! What a wonderful refurbishment with great designs. Staff were also very helpful and friendly……

“it is in the old town center and just next to the main attractive points like cathedral. as it is a building over 500 years old, so no lift but wooden stairs only (but this is the reason i stay here). Shared toilet and bathroom is good (and you can enjoy the cathedral view when you are "relaxing"). ”

“The best location right on the Cathedral property and two minute walk to city center. I would only request that the lodge send parking instructions to anyone that will park there. We drove around for 30 minutes before we found out way in. ”

Our room had everything we needed and more — from biodegradable shower caps and earplugs (thoughtfully provided, although the noise wasn’t an issue as the pub below closed early) to complimentary still……

They also serve good breakfast。We arrived after ten at night and the front desk waited us patiently.Just 10 minutes walking to the old town.Free parking is a surplus.The restaurant in town they recommended is tasteful. Recommend to all. ”

“The staff were friendly, polite and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was in need of some refurbishment and the shower was poor. However, Howfield Manor is a beautiful building and even in December the grounds were lovely. I would like to stay there again. ”
