“This hotel has a very nice view and is a great choice for shooting or watching the stars. Their service staff is very friendly and will assist you very well with things to do at the top of the mountain to fix inconveniences. The rooms are slightly smaller than similarly priced hotels, but I think the starry sky at night definitely makes up for it, and the balcony on the side of the house offers a great starry sky experience. “We wanted a dog friendly place to stay on our vacation and the Retro Inn was a fantastic choice! They have a dog park area that is fenced in. Super convenient and very well maintained. I highly recommend for travelers with a dog!! For us humans, the stay was excellent. They had a very nice continental breakfast and the room was outstanding. “This was a Great property to stay at. The Hosts live on-site and they were absolutely lovely! The Cabin was nice and clean, equipped with everything from shampoo to laundry soap! There is a W/D in the unit, microwave, stove, pots pans, coffee l, creamer and sugar along with a coffee pot! Right by the river, fire pit, patio table, and walking path! I will definitely stay here again!! It’s about an hour away from The Great Sand Dunes and the Alligator farm, but the drive is nice!”

We like that it is not on the main street and parking onsite. It is above a restaurant but the low volume of noise was doable and the band on the last night was great! And restaurants, parade and fireworks are within walking distance.”
