“The Casa Gangotena was perfection! The hotel itself is beautiful and the staff was gracious and attentive. We stayed in a very comfortable, large room with a spectacular view of the Plaza de San Francisco. We enjoyed breakfast and a wonderful dinner at the hotel and loved that the menu included local cuisine. “The towels and bed linen seemed unwashed, the breakfast didn’t exist, the lovely rooftop shown in the pictures was “private” and hence not available. The hairdryer didn’t work. “Amazing hotel, James was extremely helpful, breakfast was nice, typical of all the hotels I used in Ecuador. Location to Old Town was excellent and only a $15 cab from historic equatorial line (mitad del Mundo) Only point I'd make is for some the hotel may feel cold although there is a tower heater in the bedroom which worked well. ”
