“When we arrived for check-in we were greeted with a notice at the front desk with a memo that states they do NOT rent rooms to locals. I am appreciative that I was allowed to continue with my reservation because the general manager wanted all rooms to be filled. I think it would be nice that when making a reservation people are made aware that if they live in the surrounding counties they will not be allowed to stay at this hotel. The ladies at the front desk were really nice and the room was……

“First when I checked in, there still guests inside for the room gave to me Then I had to go back to asked another room. The lady at front desk was not happy and passed that room to another check in guest. Moment after, that guest met the same issue. Few hours after my check in, my credit card was charged again. So I went down to check with the front desk. The lady at front desk is very rude and she said that is the system trasaction and she can do nothing. And nobody I can talk to. I have to……

“There for an event at UVA, so location was convenient. Inn has separate buildings located around a cul-de-sac right off busy main thoroughfare. A local resident told us the Inn was originally UVA student housing which explains the “dorm-like “ feel of the room and sitting area. The renovated bathroom was well-done with a European vibe. Highlight was the Oakhurst Inn Cafe with amazing breakfast menu, easily walkable to separate building. Parking was “valet only” as location was in a busy area……
