“This was the WORST VRBO property I've ever had the misfortune to book. The unit is rated as a 9/10. Given the fact that the unit badly needs to be updated that rating is wholly misleading. The unit smelled of mold, had no battery in the smoke detector, the shower liner was stained, the tub needs to be reglazed, the stove hood was rusted and the light did not work, the ceiling by the bathroom sink needs to be painted, the unit had no luggage racks and the dish rack was rusted and unusable which……

“We had a wonderful time! The only true hiccup was no ice when we arrived. After driving for 3 days and arriving at 5:30, we were ready to relax with a cocktail. Knowing the island I knew where to go and get ice so not so bad! We enjoyed the house so much and our dog was in heaven to have so much open space!! Loved the deck in the evenings! The kitchen was fabulous and sitting at the window for meals was perfect! Close to the beach was a plus! Although relaxing by the pool was very nice too.……

“We spent a week at Tennisplace on Sanibel. The location is first driveway as you come onto the Island so we didn't have to deal with lines of traffic as we came & went from Island. It shares a driveway with the boat launch and a small park. We took our books & beach chairs to the Park & watched boat traffic coming & going...We walked to Lighthouse Cafe one morning for breakfast (about 15 minute walk) The Sanibel Captiva Chamber of Commerce is almost directly across the road so we visited……

“Nice Condo overall. We would stay there again. Our kids loved the twin beds. A couple things to know about the place. The A/C to the bedroom is not as strong as to the other bedroom. Not a big issue but see next. Great to have laundry. The dryer takes a very longtime to dry. Also makes the main bedroom really hot. Don’t run at night unless you like a hot room. The pool is not very warm for the winter. Most places on Sanibel have warmer pools. We asked the pool guy a couple of times……
