“This island is like taking a step back in time. It is quiet and makes you feel as though you are on a private beach. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Our house was clean and everything was easy to navigate. The ferry and land transportation were easy to navigate (we used island head).We will definitely be back! ”

“If you love the creeks in the Lowcountry.....this is the place!! Fishing and crabbing from the dock. Catch your bait with a cast net. Tracie was a great host and all the bird feeders full....the variety!!! Three, maybe four types of woodpeckers!! Wood storks, Ibis, egret, heron, marsh hen, laughing gulls, a roseate spoonbill and barn swallows down by the creek and marsh. We had a very relaxing stay doing things we loved and will be coming back for more!! Flowers and Kings right around the……

“The cottage is stunning with paintings by the owner herself. It was like staying in a gallery. Every detail was accounted for and we have absolutely nothing to suggest for improvement. “The Evan Cottage was everything we needed it to be. It was very affordable and on the center of the island, which was great. The front porch was my favorite place to spend time under the ceiling fan, staying cool while enjoying the nature of the island. ”

“This was our first trip to Daufuskie and we loved our stay! Jay was a wonderful host and quick to reply to all of our questions! Everything we needed was available for our stay. Only tip I have for guests has nothing to do with the home or the island, but with the Lowcountry Ferry we took from Hilton Head to Daufuskie and back. The passenger fee for the ferry is fair, but the cost to bring supplies (groceries, bikes, extra luggage) was very expensive - much much more than advertised by the ferry……
