“If you are looking for a rustic, off grid, romantic mountain getaway- this is the rental for you. There is no Wi-Fi, and we did not have cell phone service- so do your research about the area before you arrive. The hosts did have a guest book with a plethora of information about the area and attractions. The drive to the cabin is not for the feint of heart, but it was secluded and private with stunning views. Just a short drive to town for groceries and about 30 minutes to Shenandoah National……

“Our family loved our weekend getaway in this home. It’s about 2 miles down a partially paved road, so you really feel like you’re away from everything, but you’re also close enough to attractions, restaurants, and shops for anything you want or need. The house is amazingly well-kept and well stocked. We hope to stay there again!”

“This house is perfectly set up for babies and toddlers. The toy nook upstairs and playroom (with air hockey table) were big hits- we had a 7 month old and two three year olds. It’s super close to the water park and ski slope, so you won’t run out of things to do on a family vacation. ”

“Beautiful house and perfect one for a friends getaway. Living area was great with high ceilings with so much of sunlight in the morning. Steve was incredibly responsive and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable. We especially loved the games like poker in the game room. Well spent weekend and would definitely recommend this house to anyone visiting the area!”

“My family loved the rental and the area!! Great hikes in Shenandoah National Park, quaint little town with the beautiful Luray Caverns… a beautiful cavern, excursions to local Battlefields, and a very handy Walmart. We sat outside by the fire pit, and one night we saw the Northern Lights!!! A real treat! We relaxed in the hot tub and heated pool!! We also enjoyed the game room! Great Vacay!”

“Our stay was very enjoyable, the host was extremely responsive and helpful. The cabin itself is in a gorgeous location, when they say secluded they meant it! WiFi and internet service were very reliable, there were a couple great places to eat in the tiny town nearby (check out The Italian Job, you won’t regret it!) and Walmart was about 20 minutes away for the essentials. There wasn’t much in the way of festive offerings- we went in mid December - but the town was cute. Keep in mind some of……

“My extended family got together for a ski weekend at Massanutten. The Chalet provided a great space for family meals and fun in between skiing and snow tubing. The resort was a short drive away. Large driveway for parking. Well-stocked kitchen. Extra blankets that were perfect for cozying up by the downstairs fire while the kids played pool and ping pong. We’ll be back! ”
