“We needed a place to stay as we were traveling through the area and found the knolls on hotels.com. It had great reviews so we decided to give it a shot. We did not realize this when booking on hotels.com, but while this looks like a hotel or motel, it is also similar to an airbnb in the sense that there is no front desk, you communicate with the owner via text, and will need to read and agree to owners rules upon arrival. You will also need to pull the sheets off the bed and take out the trash……

“Lovely couple running this motel. Very friendly and accommodating. Gave us great suggestions on where to look for dining possibilities, and we enjoyed a Peruvian meal. Comfortable and clean. No special channels on TV, but we were in the area for a sad family occasion, so no big deal. Hostess gave me a bucket of ice which kept cold in the refrigerator.
