“The decision to stop in St.Albans was initially because it was a convenient stopover place for London, due to the easy commute into the city. However, as soon as we arrived and saw the cathedral ACROSS the road we knew that one of our days would be better spent experiencing this beautiful and historically rich place. We even arrived on a festival day! Lots of walking meant that sleeping in a comfortable bed was a priority and the hotel scored highly on this! Breakfast was varied and set us up……

“Good stay at the Pear Tree Inn! Staff were great, calling me as I was arriving late and sending across a AVT invoice quickly (as there is no one there on checkout)! There is no hairdryer in the room - I didn’t realise this until the morning and there was no one downstairs to ask! ”

“登記入住時前台的女員工態度傲慢，很像不歡迎我們一樣。房間裏床單有黑色的污漬，牆上佈滿蜘蛛網，椅子夾縫還有些爆米花碎。這個集團其他酒店我也住過，但這一間是最差的，我明白一間有些歷史的洒店當然會殘舊一點，但也要保持乾淨呀!還有停車位不夠，晚點回去已沒有位置可停車，你只能泊在外面住宅區的路邊。”

“Deep disappointment with the quality of our stay. Upon our arrival, we were dismayed to discover that the bedsheet in our room was visibly soiled with black marks, leaving us with serious doubts about its cleanliness and whether it was even new. This issue raised immediate concerns about the overall hygiene and standards of the room.”
