“The Inn is a timeless rustic beauty, with a wonderful view over the Connecticut River, which borders Vermont and NH. The house, built in 1881, has some of the original large plank oak flooring. It is (as can be seen from their picture) great to sit out on the covered porch and watch the eagles fly over the water. The owners, Blessing and Kaelan, were wonderful hosts. “Excellent breakfast. Very pretty yard. Close to downtown Brattleboro. But limited staff on site and limited engagement with staff. Also, the house decor felt a bit more tired than quaint. Also, large edges at the beginning of the driveway that opens to a lots of traffic, need to be pruned or taken down because the inhibit seeing ongoing traffic (safety issue).”

“The Putney Inn is located very close to I-91. It is ideal for travelers who need simple, clean accommodations. A complimentary breakfast is provided: coffee, juice, muffins, cereal, and self-service waffles. And there is a food co-op nearby that has prepared food and a good assortment of groceries and beer. I've stayed there on three separate occasions and it was always clean and quiet. It's a 2 story "motel" style building. There is no elevator, but the steps to the second level are not……
