“The Shack is lovely. It was an adorable little rustic home and was a great place to rest our heads before heading out for adventure. ”

“We had a very hot week, so hiking and biking took place in the morning. Afternoons were spent with some sightseeing and a lot of time in our vacation house. There was so much to do there. The theater room and the game room were a definite hit with both kids and adults. Outdoors some of our group used the hot tub, corn hole and the s’mores around the fire pit. There is a basketball goal and a big yard for bubbles and running around. After an active day the sauna and jet tub gave comfort. ……

“We very much enjoyed our stay here and hope to come again. The house was the perfect size for our family of four and two dogs. The utility of having a fully-fenced yard when traveling with pets cannot be overstated. House was convenient to all of our adventures along NRGNP, parking and check in were easy, and we were provided with everything needed for our stay - the hosts even left us some snacks to enjoy after our long drive to WV! Excellent property!”

“This was a great space for our family of five. The beds were comfy, there were plenty of bath towels, and lots of space to spread out. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the patio. The location was perfect, lots of shopping and dining options near by. The host was awesome with communication, very quick to answer any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again.”

“The property is older, but as expressed in the listing. The neighborhood is nothing like you would expect getting to the property, but once at the property, amazing, very secluded. Loved watching the fog rise up through the valleys. If you like tree frogs, they will sing you to sleep at night. This is the first place our group of 18 stayed that had a properly stocked kitchen that could accommodate this number of people. There were extra towels, bedding linens and more than one dish towel. “We had a great weekend stay at the Green Door Getaway! We had a group of 9 and there was plenty of space to gather together as well as our own spaces. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. It is also conveniently located and was easy to travel to stores and the National Park. The owners were quick with communication and to meet any needs. Would stay again!”
