“On the day of our stay, we intended to arrive at 4PM to check in before dinner. Unfortunately, we had car trouble and couldn't arrive before dinner, so we drove directly from dinner to here. I felt confident because we had printed out the directions they provided and had multiple navigation methods. Unfortunately, their house was not where they indicated it would be. We did not realize the travel time to Carmel-by-the-Sea, but it was still doable. And for our five adults and family dog, it was the perfect size. ”

“While we did enjoy our time we did feel the need to give folks a bit of a heads up. Gorgeous property and great for quiet stay. The advertisement oils use an update. The pictures make the place look newer than things are, which is ok but finding loose screws and rusty nails in the fenced in area meant for dogs was a bit odd. The main thing I wish the owners would’ve communicated and maybe I missed this was that it is not as isolated and serene as advertised. We were hoping to be very alone due……

“We had a girls' getaway at The Lodge. It was the perfect setting for relaxing and catching up with a glass of wine by the river. The house was very comfortable and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The scenery was beautiful and there was tons of out space for enjoying the view of the river which is right at the back door. The host was available for any questions that came up and even sent some great suggestions for local spots to visit during our stay. We are definitely……
