“The property was welcoming and very clean. The only issue we ran into was the neighboring cottage had a dog that was barking early in the mornings and woke us up. ”

“We loved this adorable house! We only stayed one night before our cruise, but definitely wished we could have stayed longer! The description and photos were accurate, Tiffany was super responsive. Property was clean, beds so comfy, bathrooms perfect! This house was so well thought out, loved having the lights labeled, fans in the rooms, great coffee bar, and comfy blankets! Loved our stay! Highly recommend ”

“We loved Cheryl’s beach house and are definitely coming back!!! The sunsets are phenomenal and the weather was just right, this vacation was highly needed and helped us unwind and just tune in with the sea gods lol Loved every bit of her house!”

“Liked the location, there was issues with bed quality, shower heads and stained/dirty dishes. But location was perfect if you want to be around beach and local tourists areas. ”

“The location was excellent, close to beach, restaurants and stores! The cottage is great for one person.The closet was too small. No place for luggage, the bed sheets felt like burlap no thread count. The mattress was hard, felt like we were sleeping on box spring. Shower was great, water pressure was amazing! Kitchen was stocked with everything you would need. Had gas stove which was easy to operate and cook on. The back porch was decorated with table and chairs for eating out or sitting area……

“The Whimsical Mermaid Cottage was a cute little place to bring my small family for our first trip to Galveston! It was very clean and not a far drive to the beach and all that Galveston has to offer! Can’t wait to come back!”

“My wife and I stayed from Thursday to Saturday. We were looking for something nice and inexpensive. This place checked all the boxes. It was very clean and everything worked. We would stay again.”

“The location is perfect. The dock is perfect, the water super clear, it's close to everything. The house is a historic gem: it has withstood so many hurricanes. It's really sad to see it in such a state of disrepair. For example, there is an obious leak under the shower that is bowing the wood (original wood floor). A lot of things are old and about to break. But overall, we had a really good stay. I would still recommend this place, but adjust expectations. ”
