“Great communications considering it was an on the day booking. Jenny went above and beyond to ensure we was accommodated as a family. We travelled with a portable cot, kettle in room and small fridge. Spacey, clean, tidy and cool. The street could be nosy if you have the front windows open but once closed it's quiet. Would stay again and already recommend a family member to stay! Also great location!”

“We had a very enjoyable short stay at The Canford. All the staff were exceptionally helpful, courteous, and friendly (Terry, Ross, Ellie, Lena, Taly). Our room was an Accessible room (although we didn't specifically book one) and was quite large and very comfortable, with a large, well-appointed bathroom. Being accessible it was on the ground floor and very convenient to the car park. The room was spotlessly clean. We enjoyed two evening meals at the hotel, as well as breakfast both mornings,……

“Lovely friendly welcome from the hosts. Pre-ordered breakfast for the following day and then settled down for the evening in a huge room with comfy seats, a big bed and a lovely bright and clean bathroom. Breakfast was just as promised, fresh, local and really tip top. Sat chatting with the hosts over breakfast watching the horse liveries turning out for the morning. Very very pleasant. ”

“Lovely hotel conveniently situated a 5 min walk from beach. Lovely en suite room with all necessary facilities. Good bar food with well kept real ale. My only criticism is that on arrival I found out breakfast is only served 9-9.30 - no good on a business trip when you need to be away at 8am. Had I known this I would not have booked. Staff were apologetic and offered a discount on my evening meal in lieu. Thank you.”

“This rambling old building is close to the Quay, with its restaurants and boat tours. The bus and railway stations are 10-15 mins walk away. My bathroom had a large washbasin, the option of bath or shower, and constant hot water. Storage space was sufficient and there was a desk and chair. Breakfast was filling. There is a pleasant courtyard beside the building for drinks.”
