“Great service, very kind and friendly check in. The rooms are simple and you have to pay for the towels, but then again- the price of accommodation definitely justifies the payment for extras. Has a bar, open until 11pm. And it is genuinely all you need for a night stay. Also offers breakfast, full english for £9.99. And it is perfectly located for the Monsal Trail and ither walks.”

“Lovely looking hotel in a great location for the Peak District. Nice, clean and vibrant colours everywhere. Room was comfortable (no air con though, just a desk fan) with a nice colour scheme, lots of pillows and nice touches. Bar/restaurant is bright, food was good (calling it a continental breakfast is a bit of a stretch). Some of the staff could do with smiling more and actually show some enthusiasm to the guests (not all, some was pleasant) ”

“Easy check-in and friendly staff showing me to my room and instructing me to let him know if there was anything I required during my stay. Room, which is separate to the main pub, was adequate in size and facilities with a very good shower in the bathroom. “Never been to Buxton and was to attend a wedding at the Devonshire Dome. Chose the hotel for proximity and definitely did not disappoint. We were close to the centre and within walking distance to the major attractions and local pubs and cafes . Just across is a beautiful park and Pavilion. Just happens to be a local super hero event too , so lovely stay and nice first visit ”
