“The property was cold and the device to set the temperature seemed to be out of battery. It was somewhat hard to find, and when we entered there was a vacuum cleaner sitting in the hallway. Parking can be hard to find, and the owners' emails seemed to be automatic and not responsive.”

“We had a great stay at this historic hotel. Check in/check out was smooth. Great breakfast selection with hearty portion. Room is clean and bed is just the right firmness that you can wake up rejuvenated without backache. “Just a brief overnight on a business trip. Lovely character building. Decent size free car park. Single room was pleasant and comfortable. Location is in the town, so inevitably some traffic noise specially early morning. Take earplugs if that tends to disturb you. Very friendly staff and good breakfast available from 7am, which was handy as I was travelling further on for a meeting. Highly competitive b&b rate.”

“Have stayed here a few times now always clean and comfortable the only problems this time were one of the bolts had come loose on the toilet seat and if you wanted hot water from the bathroom tap to turn it far enough the pressure was so high you got soaked, good shower though plenty of hot water. The pub has been refurbished and is looking good we had the sunday carvery which was very good.”
