“As a solo female traveller, I really like this hotel. It’s basic, but clean and friendly and I feel very safe. As it is a training centre, there are lots of groups of people, but also other solo travellers. I probably wouldn’t use this hotel for a socks trip, but for work it is ideal. Dinner and breakfast are good, it is a buffet style and included in the price. I like this a lot, as generally I will not have dinner alone, but here, it is perfectly acceptable to do so, without standing……

“Thoroughly enjoyed our stay .Room 66 was ideal and would ask to stay there again.We had a very nice meal in the restaurant and sevice was very good .Our only criticism is we could not get the shower to work ,the water was barely warm and the valve to turn it up was not working.We have mentioned it to reception and hope if we stay again it will be fixed.”

“Stayed at the 3 horseshoes as a mid way break on our way up To The Lake District for an wedding, hotel is clean and comfortable, bar is well stocked and they weren’t Charing rip off prices, the restaurant was very good , wide range of food available, we were joined by our daughter and 6 year old granddaughter for dinner , the staff were really accommodating with us changing time of meal … even though they seemed a bit under pressure as they had a wedding taking place …”
