“While the inside of the cottage was incredibly clean and comfortable and even perfect for co-operative gaming on the couch, the beautiful garden out front was the perfect location to have dinner and decompress from a long day of adventuring. The cottage is not far from downtown Salem, with a very easy walk through a safe neighborhood to everything of interest. “Very clean and inviting. My only issue was The lack of downstairs seating. The overstuffed chair could have used an ottoman because the chair height was uncomfortable to sit in for any length of time. Another condo chair or a love seat would have been great. I was supposed to have another person with me and if they came we wouldn’t have been able to stay because lack of seating. It is a one person cottage the way it’s set up. “Excellent location: walkable to downtown; easy access to US highways for day trips (w/in one hour of the coast); quiet, quaint neighborhood. Excellent property: immaculate, well-furnished; kitchen modern, spotless, a cook's heaven--you could effortlessly prepare and host a seven-course, Thanksgiving dinner in the kitchen. If the host did long-term leases, I'd rent Vine Street Cottage for a year and forego apartment hunting.”
