“The only reason I did not give a 5 star review was a few things that prevented me from having a great stay. 1: The bar remains open till 10 pm and I was in a room (#2) right above it. The music and patrons was noisy enough that I could not sleep. 2: The outdoor floodlights stay in till 10:30 pm causing the room to light up brightly even with curtains closed. 3: The mattress needs to be changed as it was lumpy and felt very worn. “This is a very old hotel being restored. It was in a great location. The room was comfortable and clean. However there were no written instructions on how to use central heating, etc in the room, or that there were safety alarms that could be set off. ( to which staff always responded) Breakfast was fabulous as was the restaurant food. Some of the staff were helpful, some rude and abrupt so one can’t generalise. ”
